Panasonic DMC-LS1 will soon retire. Panasonic has prepared the new digital camera to replace that budget camera, the DMC-LS2. With more stylish compact design, the LS2 digital camera offers 5 megapixel CCD sensor, embedded Venus Plus engine for faster focusing and lower power consumption, and 14MB internal memory with SD card slot for additional photos storage. It has 3x optical zoom and comes with an average wide 2.0-inch LCD screen with High Angle LCD function. This technology will make the display extremely easy to view from bottom angle. For example, when taking photos raising a hand upward to shoot the subject over the crowd. Panasonic DMC-LS2 is the world’s first digital camera that adopted the High Angle LCD technology.

Measures 110.5 x 53.5 x 30.9 mm and weighs 138 grams, the LS2 is also equipped with MEGA O.I.S.(Optical Image Stabilizer) which is a hand shake correction system. No information about price and availibility yet.
