Proton, a Taiwan-based company, is going to show off their new series of HD LCD TVs at the upcoming CES 2006 event in Las Vegas. Ranged from 37-inches to 55-inches, these LCD TVs support 1080p resolution, as well as 1080i, and come with both digital and analog tuners. Not much information about the price and availability for now, but the 42-inch model will be available in the first quarter of 2006, while the 47-inch and 55-inch LCD TVs will come up later in the second quarter. The price is $2799 for the smaller one, 37-inch model.

Not offering something new, but might be a bargain compared to those HD LCD TVs from the big fish, such as Sony and Samsung.
