Do you know that Averatec has a laptop product that mimic the look of Apple iBook? Priced $949, Averatec’s 3700 is a stylish iBook-like laptop that features a clean, white keyboard, and a white shell with rounded edges. Measures 10.8 x 8.8 x 1.3 inches and weighs 4.2 pounds, it comes with a 12.1-inch LCD screen which is probably would not satisfied some people (like me) who prefer a bigger display.
This laptop is equipped with a 80GB of hard drive, 4-in-1 memory card reader (Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro), Firewire port, 802.11b/g WiFi support, DVD burner, touchpad, and three USB 2.0 ports on the side. Powering the machine, there are 1.8GHz AMD Mobile Sempron 3000+ processor, 512MB of RAM, and VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP/shared memory graphic card (again, won’t make some people satisfied). Battery life is about three hours of usage, with or without WiFi turned on.
Not the best one in the market, but Averatec 3700 has a decent price for a decent specs. So yes, if you’re looking for a laptop for general usage, this one is worth it.
