Asus, a giant Taiwanese manufacturer, is really trying to expand their business. Now they are not only building motherboard products, but also notebook, monitor, PDA, and Pocket PC. And they don’t stop with those. Recently, they’ve annouced their first LCD TV unit, the TLW32001 for the Taiwan market. So get ready other LCD TV’s manufacturers, Asus might be able to kick your ass… well, we’re not so sure either.

Asus TLW32001 is a 32-inch LCD TV features 1366 x 768 resolution, 500cd/m2 brightness, 1200:1 contrast ratio, 16:9 aspect ratio, 6ms response time, and 170 degrees viewing angle. It takes advantage of Sharp’s TFT LCD TV panel and comes integrated with HDMI (High Definition Media Interface). The price is NT$62,800 (or around US$1,889) and will be available on the market next week.

PS: If you want a bigger one, just wait a couple months as Asus is planned to release a 42-inch LCD TV model in the first quarter of 2006. Don’t worry, we’ll post the news here when that product become available.
