WidowPC Sting 917 LaptopIf you remember, WidowPC have already announced their dual core version of this Sting 917 series laptop, called the “Sting 917X2“. But we guess it won’t hurt to talk about the predecessor, the Sting 917 laptop, right?

One of the biggest difference between the original and the enhanced dual core edition of the Sting 917 laptop is the processor. While the 917X2 takes advantage of AMD’s 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+ (or FX57) processor, its big brother uses Intel’s Pentium 4 660 (3.6 GHz) processor. Other “behind-the-screen” parts of the 917 is 1GB of RAM (expandable to 4GB), 7,200-rpm 60GB of hard drive, and Nvidia GeForce Go 6800/256MB DDR2 Video Memory, along with Conexant Falcon II Video Capture Card.

The laptop comes with a big 17-inch WUXGA LCD screen which boast its weight to 13 pounds. The dimension itself is 15.6 x 11.7 x 1.95 inches. For connectivity options, you’ll get WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, Firewire, Gigabit Ethernet, modem, and 7-in-1 memory card reader. Look below for more detail specs.
