Cameras.Co.Uk has just posted a review of Pentax Optio WP digital camera. This easy-to-use waterproof 5.0 megapixel camera is equipped with 3x optical zoom and 2″ LCD screen. According to the review, even with the 5.0 megapixel sensor, the image quality result is not really great. So the camera would be fine if you’re looking something for fun, especially near the water (beach, pool, lake, etc), but not for serious usage. For the recording function, you can record movie in either 320×240 or 160×120 resolution with 15fps or 30fps. Measures 102 x 51 x 22mm and weighs 120g, the camera costs you around £175.

Whether the Pentax Optio WP is the right camera for you depends on what you are looking for in a digital camera. This camera is waterproof and you can use it on the beach and around the pool without a problem. Picture quality is not as good as you are likely to find with more standard cameras, but you can have a lot of fun with this camera without worrying about it getting wet.
