Toshiba Japan recently announced the SP-P2800, their new portable DVD player product. Its LCD display offers a 800 x 480 resolution and uses 9V type IPS system. It also supports DVD-R/RW (VR mode) and plays CD/CDRW with support for MP3, DIVX and WMA as well. Another feature is a built-in TV, CATV, and FM tuner.

This portable DVD player achieves several world’s first record. First, SD-P2800 is the first portable DVD player with 14bit/108MHz Video DAC for high picture quality conversion. Second, it is also the first one that is equipped with a 4 in 1 card slot which supports SD card, MMC, Memory stick and XD picture card. You can directly play the MP3, WMA, JPEG and Divx files from the memory card.

Measures 261 x 179 x 37mm and weighs 1.3kg, Toshiba SD-P2800 will be available on early December for 70,000 Yen or around $600. On the package, you will receive a carrying case, remote control, AC adapter, AV out cable, heaphone and car adapter cord.
