MCNex, a Korean company, has created the world’s smallest VGA camera sensor. Measures only 5.5 x 2.9 mm, it can provide a VGA resolution (640×480) image. Also, MCNex is currently working on 3, 7, and 8 megapixel (small) camera modules. The 3 megapixel one even said to have an optical zoom capability. Quite impressive.
