Grundig has selected CSR’s BlueCore3-ROM silicon to Bluetooth-enable one of the company’s first mobile handsets, G4021. The mobile phone will feature a complete multimedia functionality, including video messaging, downloads and integrated digital camera. The inclusion of CSR’s BlueCore3-ROM silicon lets Grundig mobile to offer market-leading Bluetooth connectivity easily and for minimal bill of materials (BOM) and design requirements.

BlueCore3 is fully compliant with version 1.2 Bluetooth and supports eSCO channels to ensure retrieval of any dropped data packets in order to boost the stability and quality of the wireless connection. The ROM variation of BlueCore3 offers a cost-effective means of integrating full Bluetooth connectivity in a small footprint, backed by CSR’s extensive testing and product development process.
