Sony recently announced their new multimedia notebook series, the VAIO AX Digital Studio PC. It features 17″ WXGA+ LCD display equipped with Sony’s XBRITE technology to give an excellent visual experience. Comes with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and an integrated DVD+R Double Layer/DVD+-RW drive, with an additional TV tuner you can watch and record your favorite TV shows onto a DVD.
Sony VAIO AX series is powered by Intel Pentium M Processor 750 (1.86GHz), 1GB RAM and 160GB (5400 rpm) hard drive. There’s an interesting multi-function bay where you can swap components as requires. For example, if you need to work with lot of disk storage, you can take out the TV-tuner bay unit and plug in an optional 80GB HDD bay unit.
This notebook also comes with biometric fingerprint security, two USB 2.0 ports, an IEEE 1394 port and card readers for Memory Stick and SD media.
