How To Capture Images From Windows Media Player

When I decided to open a movieblog couple days ago, actually there’s one thing that worried me. I don’t know how to make a screenshot out of Windows Media Player. Usually, I’m using SnagIt to capture images on my desktop. But SnagIt failed. It seems that WMP still too superior for it. Eventhough I already used DirectX capture method, it still return only a blank screen.
Today, I spent my time to search for the solution on Google. After some useless tips, I came across this tips from Quick Online Tips. And yeah, it works! Finally I can post this movie (warning: NSFW) on The Movies Collection blog
So, this is what you should do to enable capturing image in Windows Media Player.
- Open Windows Media Player. Select Tools - Options.

- Select Perfomance tab and click on Advanced. button.

- Now uncheck Use Overlays. Click OK.

That’s it! Easy, isn’t it? Now you can capture the movie screen in Windows Media Player. Even the traditional PrintScreen method will do.
Now expect more NFSW cool, funny, and weird movies on The Movies Collection ![]()
