The LoveJackets

The LoveJackets are a pair of jackets that built with an infra-red emitter and receiver, a set of LEDs, a PIC (programmable interrupt controller) chip, and a little speakers. The purpose of these jackets is to show the world that you have found your true love. Ask your soulmate to wear one of the jacket while you wear the other one, then everytime you and your lover are within 10 feet of each other (facing one another), the LEDs will light up and the speakers will chirp a sound akin to a cricket.
Yeah, it’s really romantic. But I think these jackets would be a better use when me and my girlfriend go into a mall. I usually lost her behind the counter, shoe shelf, etc. With these jackets, finding her would be a piece of cake.
The LovelyJackets are designed for the Pattern Language show, organized by the Tufts University Art Gallery, curated by Judith Fox, and Traveling Summer 2005-Winter 2008.
