BT Adds SMS Alert to Landline Phone

Looks like a two different world can get along together. A tradional landline phone now capable to send an SMS alert to mobile phone whenever a voice message has been left on the landline. This service is offered by Call Minder, a call answering service from BT, in the UK.
To activate the service users just enter the desired mobile number on their phone. When a voice message has been left, an SMS is automatically generated that includes the date and time of the message. To hear the message the user calls their number and enters their remote code to listen to the message.
Unfortunately, this service is not free. It is only available to paid Call Minder service’s users and charged at 10p a message.
