Bluetooth DeviceBut not to you. It might happen in the future, but not now.

Anyway, the topic is real. Toyota cars can now talk to your cellular phone. Toyota cars has G-Book Alpha system inside. The system is capable of calling an ambulance when an air bag opens, playing karaoke songs, and sending a mobile phone message when a car door is left unlocked.

Unfortunately, those services only compatible with several Toyota’s business partner. You can wired your car system and mobile phone if you want to use your own service provider. But an easier solution would be using this Bluetooth device. It makes the system goes wireless. Simply connect it to your cellular phone, then as soon as the car switched on, the Bluetooth link is activated. It weighs approximately 18 grams and measures 42×42×15 mm.

BlueTooth is a promising standard for shortrange wireless communication. BlueTooth uses the same frequency as WaveLan but with much less effect but anyhow some claim that a WaveLan can not co-exist with a fully equiped BlueTooth environment. All the BlueTooth units together will create so much disturbances that the WaveLAN will stop to work. The bandwidth is about 700-800 kbit and has a range of approximately 10 meter. [ source ]

The G-Book system also lets you download music and games; provide information on weather, traffic, etc; talk to an operator for help in emergency; and much more. Note that the car needs to have the Navigation system (GPS). The mobile phone must be compatible as well.
