Google Maps Explorer

Google Maps Explorer is a directory of still map captured from either Google Maps or MSN VirtualEarth. They are categorized into 9 categories: Urban, Nature, Sport, Military, Temporary, Rest & Entertainment, Culture, Landscape, and World. Anyone can submit their own image (must be captured from any of those 2 web applications mentioned above, of course) into Google Map Explorer, but must supply the address of the map on Google Map or MSN VirtualEarth, so anyone who view the image, can easily go to Google Map or MSN VirtualEarth to check the original location.

Google Map Explorer also provides a RSS feed for any category, including recent submitted image. If you like Google Map Explorer, make sure you add their feed to your RSS aggregator :))

From my country, Indonesia, there are only 3 submitted place: Tambora, Krakatoa, and Lake Toba (image below).
