About Jessica Simpson (Bibliography)

Jessica Ann Simpson was born in Dallas, on July 10 1980. Blessed with a once-in-a-lifetime voice full of shivering emotional power and heartfelt sensitivity, the 18-year-old Dallas, Texas native first developed and nurtured her talent in the local Baptist church, where her father, a psychologist, also works as the congregation’s youth minister.

Jessica Simpson’s first performance was a capella version of ‘Amazing Grace’. Although it was not that successful, she later auditioned for the Mickey Mouse club, unfortunately at the auditions she suffered stage fright and blew her chance.

Jessica at a young age admired singers such as Brian mcknight, Celine Dion and Shania Twain. Jessica had also perfromed with Gospel singers with kirk Franklin, ce ce winans and others. later she was noticed by Columbia records, and got signed up by them.

The first piece of Jessica’s writing to take musical form was “Angels Falling,” a song in tribute to a friend’s father, who’d recently passed on.

“Did You Ever Love Someone?,” was featured in a recent episode of “Dawson’s Creek,” one of Jessica’s favorite TV shows. Like many stars today Jessica is also acting as well as singing,
