Schedule Future Post Content with CA-Grow

Sponsored Links

The idea is coming from this WordPress forum topic. WordPress already support future post, so you can schedule when your post published. But in some case, we might also need to schedule the content of our post (which I called ‘future content’). That’s where CA-Grow come in handy :p

Introduction

CA-Grow is a plugin where you can control when part of your post show up to visitor. Currently, you can only control the date, but I’ll soon add time control as well. For example, this is your original post looks like:

This is the first part of the post.
And this is the second part.
Finally, this is the third part.

Now, you want the 2nd line to show up on June 1st, and the 3rd part on June 5th. All you need to do is, from admin Write - Post form, change your post to:
This is the first part of the post.
< ! --grow 06/01/2005-->And this is the second part.
< ! --grow 06/05/2005-->Finally, this is the third part.
That’s it! When visitor view your post before June 1st, he/she will see:

This is the first part of the post.

On June 2nd, the 2nd line is show up.

This is the first part of the post.
And this is the second part.

And starting from June 5th, the 3rd line also displayed.

This is the first part of the post.
And this is the second part.
Finally, this is the third part.

Simple, isn’t it?

This is a really great idea, can save me a lot of time from having to write separate future posts.

this could be very useful, especially with the never added time control, but written a long time ago and not working in 2.5, sigh
