Nintendo DS is one of my favourite portable gaming console, and I really wish this rumor would be real. According to IGN, the next generation of NDS, which is scheduled to hit the store in either April or May next year, will feature dual touchscreen displays, with at least one of them will be widescreen’ed. The hardware will likely get an upgrade as well. Hopefully, the company will officially announce the brand new DS at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show in October.

Samsung Series 8 is another new full HD LCD TV from Samsung. At just 44.mm thick, the TV offers a USB 2.0 port, four HDMI inputs, Full HD Motion Plus Technology, DLNA, WiseLink Pro, and content library. Like its sibling, Series 8 also blessed with an interesting feature call InfoLive, which allows users to read real-time information (news, weather, sports, etc) right on their TV screen. No words on pricing and availability unfortunately.

Samsung’s booth was one of the biggest at Berlin’s IFA 2008. No wonder they can showcase a lot of new products during that event. One of them is this new Series 7 Full HD LCD / Plasma TV. It boasts a nice live feed function, called InfoLive, which provides real-time information (news, weather, sports, finance, etc) right on the screen. InfoLive itself was borned thanks to the partnership between Samsung and Yahoo (which responsible for the RSS feeds). Other features include a WiseLink Pro, certified DLNA, and a resolution of 1920×1080p.

Along with Navigon 1200 and 1210, Navigon also unveils the new Navigon 2200 and 2210 GPS Navigations during IFA 2008 in Germany. Both powered by a 375Mhz processor, a 512MB ROM, and a 64MB RAM. They come with support for NAVIGON Fresh online service, which allows users to upgrade their device with additional features and latest maps data updates. Users can also subscribe to NAVIGON FreshMaps for €99 (2 year), thus letting them to receive the recent Navteq maps every three months.

Navigon presents two new GPS navigation systems, the Navigon 1200 and Navigon 1210. This entry level satnav devices are powered by a 375Mhz processor and a 64MB RAM, with a 3.5-inch screen for displaying the maps. Both capable of handling all the basic navigation functionalities, with the additional advanced features, such as Lane Assistant Pro and Speed Assistant and Radar Info. Other features include a microSD media card slot and text-to-speech function.

Reigncom presented the iRiver Spinn PMP during IFA 2008 event, featuring an innovative “Spinn Wheel” control, which combines warmth of analog controls with digital content. Regarding specs, the device offers a 3.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 480×272, a haptic feedback feature, and support for a wide-range media formats, including MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC ASF, MPEG4, WM9 and WMA. Furthermore, its battery provides up to 24 hours of music playback.
